Are any patients automatically excluded from stem cell therapy?

Yes. Patients with uncontrolled cancer are excluded. If you have an active infection anywhere in your body you must be treated first. Psychiatric conditions are not eligible. Also, anyone with a bleeding disorder or who takes blood thinning medications requires special evaluation before consideration for stem cells.
